Why Drama? Drama promotes teamwork, builds self-confidence and strengthens imagination. Lighthearted Productions uses games, stories, acting techniques to put student's creative thinking skills to work.
Mission Statement Lighthearted Productions' programs are designed to partner with schools to provide extended learning opportunities while using drama to enrich the lives of young people.

About Us 
Artistic Director: Stefanie Nicholson Haney
has a BFA in Theater and Performance from the University of Georgia. She has been teaching in the Charlotte area for over 10 years. She has toured professionally in North Carolina, South Carolina, Kentucky and Georgia. She has a passion for working with children. She can be found teaching at Matthews Playhouse, and Providence Day School. She has previously taught at the Children's Theater of Charlotte, Discovery Place, the Nature Museum and Carmel Christian School. She has taught workshops for teacher accreditation and has written and led residences in schools throughout Charlotte and surrounding areas. Stefanie believes drama teaches confidence and fosters a love for reading that is important for children of all ages.
